CityWorks Funding
We actively seek out and market project concepts to its prospective partners. These projects are initially supported by grants and our operations partially through fees. We have access to funds for predevelopment costs, including property options, environmental assessments, architectural, legal and planning costs, and other up-front cash needs.
These funds are invested on a matching basis along with predevelopment funds the New Jersey Community Loan Fund. The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) who creates public/private partnerships to bridge financing gaps and to increase access to capital by the State's business community, has made a financial commitment to CityWorks. Three foundations, the Fund for New Jersey, the Garfield Foundation and the Surdna Foundation have also invested.
