Sandra McCord
Director of Project DevelopmentSandra McCord has 19 years of experience in policy development, and management of comprehensive economic development initiatives and housing programs for the State of New Jersey.
Prior to joining CityWorks, Ms. McCord spent seven years at the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority (NJRA). There, she worked on all aspects of the NJRA's mission to promote and finance the economic revitalization of New Jersey's urban communities. The NJRA offers technical assistance and financial products, including predevelopment and acquisition financing, direct loans, guarantees, bonds, brownfields redevelopment and equity.
Most recently, Ms. McCord served as Director of Business Development for the NJRA. In that capacity, she was responsible for all division operations pertaining to the development of business opportunities in the Authority's 69 eligible municipalities. She also oversaw all analysis and underwriting of NJRA loan activity and developed new programs and underwriting criteria for the NJRA. Ms. McCord underwrote 59% of the NJRA closed loan and was integrally involved in the growth of the NJRA's investments.
Before joining the NJRA, Ms. McCord spent 12 years at the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) working in the areas of policy development and housing finance. She composed policy papers for top level management review and was an affordable housing lender in the DCA's Balanced Housing Program for five years.
Ms. McCord is an active community volunteer in several organizations focused on education and social services. She is also a Commissioner on her town's redevelopment agency.
