In December 2006, CityWorks, Inc. was designated the redeveloper of a 4.5 acre parcel of land in the residential section of Midtown in Neptune, NJ. The property, a former school site, was bought by the Township of Neptune from the township's school district in order to address the wishes of area residents to minimize underutilized properties and to provide recreational opportunities for neighborhood children.

CityWorks has partnered with Interfaith Neighbors of Asbury Park to create a development plan that provides "street affordable" residential units that are attractive, quality built, with a design that forges a relationship with the existing community.

Now under construction, the project consists of 58 single family housing units. All of the homes are considered affordable with price ranges starting at $96,000 for a 3 bedroom unit. The site also provides off street parking for all the homes as well as pocket park settings for the residents.

Although residential, the Ridge Avenue Project complements CityWorks’ mission. By creating street affordable residential units, the stabilized neighborhood ultimately provides a strong consumer base for the close-by West Lake Avenue Project.

In addition, partnering with Interfaith Neighbors strengthens a local community development corporation which has long been a provider of affordable single-family homes and vital social services in the Neptune/Asbury community.
